I haven't actually written something for myself in well over a year. This one needs serious editing...which will come later. But for now, here are words on a screen.
Ever turn around to find
Yourself face to face
with an older version of you?
Not aged in years,
but aged in methodology.
Frown lines on your forehead
Eyes grayed and lowered.
Voice softly spoken
so only the wind can hear.
The ghost cell splits in two.
Standing in the middle of my
Paradigm
Thoughts
Lost in time.
I was here
I went there.
I had no care.
But now I understand
I am the better man.
Ever turn forward to find
Yourself face to face
with a new version of you?
Freshly emerged from your cocoon.
Wings outstretched
And beyond the shadow comes
the face of exuberance and youth.
Looking for a breeze to blow you
into a new direction.
Standing in the middle of my
Paradigm
Thoughts
Lost in time.
I was here
I went there.
I had no care.
But now I understand
I am the better man.
Ever stand still to find
all these combinations
are a part of the whole?
Yesterday, today, tomorrow
All these promises
that I made to myself
Shall not sit on a shelf
I shall breath who I am
I shall walk who I am
I shall dance who I am
I shall sing who I am
I shall be who I am
I shall understand...
Who I am
Standing in the middle of my
Paradigm
Thoughts
Lost in time.
I was here
I went there.
I had no care.
But now I understand
I am the better man.
Little added quipet that has no home yet...
As I stood in the center
of my own paradigm
I realized I was the axis.
And the axis is all
that is truly needed
for revolution.

7/27/09 re-write moving more towards song:
Ever turn around to find
Yourself face to face
with an older version of you?
Take a look deep into
the mirror of her eyes.
Cynicism has replaced surprise.
Wonderment gone astray
Eyes no longer brilliant blue.
Changed into a jilted hue.
Standing in the middle of my
Paradigm
Thoughts
Lost in time.
I was here
I went there.
I had no care.
But now I understand
I am the better man.
Ever turn forward to find
Yourself face to face
with a newer version of you?
Emerging from her cocoon
An enthusiasm fresh
With her wings outstretched
Waiting for the coming breeze
To take on the world by storm.
Against conventional norm.
Standing in the middle of my
Paradigm
Thoughts
Lost in time.
I was here
I went there.
I had no care.
But now I understand
I am the better man.
Ever stand still to find
that you are the center
of a universe collided.
At the center of your core
You are still the truest you
When the ghost cell splits in two.
I shall breath who I am
I shall walk who I am
I shall dance who I am
I shall sing who I am
I shall be who I am
I shall understand...
Who I am
Standing in the middle of my
