For some of you, this will be the last post you will see. I am sorry, but I feel the need to pull things in a little closer to home so I can be more comfortable in posting real life things that are going on.

I feel a desperate need to journal more, and it is a real healthy way for me to keep track of my emotional and physical patterns. I don't necessarily want that to be a broadly exposed thing, but I do want the option for feedback from those whose opinions I value.

My love to those who fall off this round. Know I care, but right now I am caring far more for my personal well being. Blessing to you.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Sister Jessica, a character in Frank Herbert's
*Dune* books, says, "The greatest and most important problems of life
cannot be solved. They can only be outgrown." I encourage you to use
that theory as your operative hypothesis for the foreseeable future. Here
are some specific clues about how to proceed: Don't obsess on your
crazy-making dilemma. Instead, concentrate on skillfully doing the
pleasurable activities that you do best. Be resolutely faithful to your
higher mission and feed your lust for life. Slowly but surely, I think you'll
find that the frustrating impediment will be drained of at least some of its
power to lock up your energy.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): "The I Ching counsels that if we are associating
with others who are not our true peers," says astrologer Caroline Casey,
"our real allies cannot find us." Please apply this test to yourself, Libra. If,
after taking inventory, you find that your circle is largely composed of
cohorts and comrades who match your levels of vitality and intelligence,
that will be excellent news; it will signal an opportunity to begin working
on an upgraded version of your social life that will increase your access to
synergy and symbiosis even further. But if your survey reveals that you're
hanging out too much with people whose energy doesn't match yours, it
will be time for a metamorphosis.

Oh there is such a post brewing about this very thing. Let us not even try to add the irony of the fact that in planning the Temple design, the I Ching is involved and there is also that playing with circles thing on Google +.  I have a lot of thoughts happening right now about friends vs. Friends, their roles in or out of my life, and my ever altering social circle.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): "One must choose in life between boredom and
suffering," proclaimed author Madame de Staėl (1766-1817). I beg to
differ with her, however. As evidence, I present the course of your life
during the next few weeks. After analyzing the astrological omens, I
expect you will consistently steer a middle course between boredom and
suffering, being able to enjoy some interesting departures from the
routine that don't hurt a bit. There may even be pain-free excursions into
high adventure mixed in, along with a fascinating riddle that taxes your
imagination in rather pleasurable ways.

Uncle Rob strikes again, this time with poignancy.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): My Facebook friend Robert Goldberg has come
up with terms for you Libras that puts a more positive spin on your
reputation as a fence-sitter. He suggests "fence dancer" or "fence
warrior." You don't always deserve to be bestowed with those honorable
titles, of course. Sometimes you really do molder there in your
intermediate position, paralyzed by indecision and unable to do what's in
the best interests of anyone, including yourself. But on other occasions --
like now -- you have the power to use your in-between status dynamically,
coordinating the opposing interests to work as a whole that's greater
than the sum of the parts.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Check out this haiku by Mizuhara Shuoshi,
translated from the Japanese by William J. Higginson: "stuck in a vase /
deep mountain magnolia / blossoms open." Does that remind you of
anyone? It should. I think it pretty much sums up your current situation.
More accurately, it captures the best possible scenario you can strive to
achieve, given your circumstances. Yes, there are limitations you have to
deal with right now: being in the vase. And yet there's no reason you
can't bloom like a deep mountain magnolia.

Wow... a month and a couple weeks away from my 40th birthday. I usually get really pensive and quiet and turn inward near my birthday. I can tell you now that this year will be no exception.

Matter of fact, less a few special moments, it is happening early. So Uncle Rob's Astrology this week hit a special nail on the head.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): The odometer will turn over soon,
metaphorically speaking. The big supply of the stuff you stocked up on a
while back is about to run out. The lessons you began studying a year ago
have been completed, at least for now, and you're not yet ready for the
next round of teachings. These are just some of the indicators that
suggest you should set aside time for reflection and evaluation. The world
may come pounding at your door, demanding that you make a dramatic
declaration or take decisive action, but in my opinion you should stall. You
need to steep in this pregnant pause.

I need to type about this... but not now. Placing as a marking until I do.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): It's high time to banish the excuses you think
you have for not doing your best. There is no longer any valid reason to
hide from your true calling or deny yourself more profound happiness. You
are ready to see that the supposed "obstacles" to your success are
actually instrumental to your success -- prods that will make you so much
smarter and stronger that you cannot be defeated by circumstances. Why
is this happening now? It's because a force working behind the scenes --
you can imagine it as God or destiny or karma if you like -- is clearing
away the illusions that have held you in thrall to false ideas about who
you are. If I were you, I'd shout "hallelujah!" as I pinch myself in the butt
and pat myself on the head.

I have SO been experiencing this lately! It is a little odd feeling, but in the good, I love the world kinda way.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): A reader named Emory proposes that we add a
new meme to the cultural lexicon: *interpersonal intellectual orgasm.*
Here's how he describes it: "It happens when your conversation with
another person becomes so intense that nothing else matters except the
dialog you're creating together. The two of you are so in-tune, so
intellectually bonded, that the sensation is almost like making love. For
that time, it's like that person is in you and you are in that person; you
are one because you understand each other so completely." I bring this to
your attention, Libra, because you're in a phase of your astrological cycle
when the interpersonal intellectual orgasm is far more likely than usual to
occur.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Present the following dare to a person or
persons with whom you would like to go deeper: "You think you know me,
but you really know just a tantalizing fraction. Would you like to
experience the rest of the story?" And if anyone expresses interest, take
him or her on a magical tour they won't forget. Reveal the sides of you
that are too mysteriously interesting to show the general public, or too
intimate to reveal to anyone you don't trust, or so potent they might
intimidate those who don't have a lot of self-possession.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): I know a 19-year-old woman who has been
going through an especially vivid phase of living on the edge between yes
and no. She told me that yesterday morning she woke up with the feeling
that in the next 12 hours she could either commit suicide or else perform
some epic deed in which she surpassed all of her previous limits. She
chose the latter path, completing an 18-mile bike ride that tested her
endurance and drove her into the heights of exhilaration. As she pedaled,
she drove herself onward with the throbbing thought that this was a
perfect way to silence the self-destructive voice within her. I offer her
victory to you, Libra, as being worthy of imitation.

Just want to wish everyone a wonderous day, filled with good eats, good times and the love of friends and family.
