Oh this weekend went by way too fast. Odd weekend it was too.

Saturday after work, we went up to Starbridge and walked around a bit before heading to the Emerald Rose concert. We had a really nice dinner at Gabee's Cajun restaurant. Yummm, spices... We got to Crimson Moon mega early, in hopes to actually get a seat this time. (they tend to oversell the room and leave most people standing) They had done some remodeling at Crimson Moon which DID give more seating, but we were quickly informed by the owner that she had sold over 3/4 of the room as reserved seating and that we would have to move when those people starting coming in. We had a discussion with her right on the spot explaining our feelings on that matter. There apparently was no real announcement about this ahead of time, except thru their (the cafe's)own personal email list. We went ahead and moved to a back table and watched as the people just flooded in. Soon it was so overwhelmingly packed that I started to wig. Ochlaphobic (fear of crowds). Eeeeek. Anyway...the owner got up on stage after ER's sound check and announced the BS about the reserved seating...and asked that those without reserved seats stand so those that paid ahead can take their seat. On the "honor system", as she put it. We of course stood and was getting ready to move out the way when she made an effort to point us out and say we were ok. Bullshit. We are no different from anyone else there who didn't pay ahead. Regardless of how well we know everyone or for how long. Another in my party was flat insulted about the whole thing and we left, rather abrubtly. Went to drive home and got all the way there before we realized my car was still in my work's parking lot. So we drove all the way back to Sandy Springs so I could pick it up. (never trust a Sandy Springs parking lot overnight) Sunday I tried to sleep in late. No go. errrrrr. Got up and worked on one of Evocation's songs for about an hour and went ahead on to rehearsal. Rehearsal was fun and I think we actually got some work done. Everything was organized and scheduled which I think made things much much easier. Couple of new things coming up I am really looking forward to doing.

This coming weekend I am driving up to Indiana to visit with the 'rents. Kinda looking forward to that. Good style Momma home cookin' and being pampered all weekend. Which I deserve on a regular basis. Too bad I got to drive to Indiana to get it...lol.

Heya! We are always willing to provide home cooking and pampering. They are two of my favorite things to give people. I know it's not the same as going to your mom's but we are closer than Indiana. Plus it would give us a chance to visit.

*hugs*

I would like that. I am hoping at some point in the very near future to have a little dinner party. We could have it wherever...but do a simple carry-in din din and just have a nice evening of social time with everyone and games, etc. Exhibit some personal freedom, have good company and food while doing it...etc.
**hugs** Thanks for the offer...it really warmed my heart. :)

That sounds like fun, we would love to come to something like that.

Thanks for the offer...
No problem, it was sincere, feel free to call me on it at any time. *hugs*

What are you up to lately, do you still go to PHP? Where would we stand a good chance of running into you?

I don't go up to PHP much anymore. Too much drama and BS. I would love to be able to see everyone on a more regular basis, but for the drive I gotta make to get there....it just isn't worth it for me to stand around and gawk. ;)
I have pretty much been doing nothing but rehearsing with Evocation and being a home-body. I want out more in a vicious way. We need to see when we all can get together... I still have those Macaroni Grill coupons for us all from Claudia's b-day party.
